Your OAAA Hockey Committee is looking for bench staff for our 2019/20 hockey season.

We have had lots of people volunteer for Head Coach positions and thank you for that. We will be in touch with you soon!

We still need Head Coach positions for the following divisions:

Minor Novice (Formerly Tyke) - kids born in 2012

Novice - kids born in 2011
Peewee - kids born in 2007 & 2008
Midget - kids born in 2002, 2003 & 2004

We also need bench staff (Assistant Coach, Trainers & Managers) for all divisions. In order for us to put the kids on the ice, we need all these positions filled.

If you can help a team out please let us know at vicepresident@oaaa.ca so we can make sure you get the correct certifications.

Our local league - the Clarington Recreational Hockey League (CRHL) is looking for an ice scheduler. This would be a great opportunity for someone to give some volunteer time to our community hockey or even make a few dollars.

Have a look at the ad thru the link below and maybe you can help!

Respect In Sports - Parent Program

Effective August 31, 2014, in addition to Team Officials, the OMHA will require all On-ice Volunteers, On-Ice Officials and Parents to take the appropriate ‘Respect’ education.

At least one parent or guardian of each player registered in minor hockey in the OMHA will need to complete the online Respect In Sport Parent Program as a condition of participation. The program is a proactive, educational program that empowers parents with the tools to ensure the game is enjoyable and respectful for themselves, their children and all other stakeholders in the game.

Respect In Sport - Parent Program

One parent for every child must take this course before their child can be rostered with their team. Follow this link to see more information about the program.

Respect In Sport - Activity Leader

Respect in Sport - Activity Leader (Participant). This program is required by all bench staff and volunteers who help on the ice.
